The older Monopoly: Pokemon Kanto Edition from 2014 covers the first generation for people who want that specific roster.

Fortnite has four versions and they aren't interchangeable. The 2018 and 2019 printings and the 2021 Collector's Edition all sit near the standard game. Monopoly Flip Edition: Fortnite (2023) rebuilds the thing around the video game for two to four players and carries a 13 and up rating instead of the usual eight, so check that before wrapping it for a ten-year-old.

Nintendo fans have the deepest bench. Monopoly Super Mario Celebration (2020) came in both a general and a four-player release, The Super Mario Bros. Movie Edition followed in 2023, and Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition dates to 2014. There's also a straight Nintendo Monopoly board covering the wider catalog.

Animal Crossing New Horizons showed up in 2021 with a later printing in 2024, listed for two to four players aged eight and up. Island theming over a smaller player count makes it a natural gift for a kid who put real hours into the game.

Monopoly Gamer (2017) is the odd one. It's the line that ties Monopoly to video game culture as a whole rather than to a single title, and the listing gives little away, so judge it on the theme.
